Our handcrafted log cabin provides you with an excellent home base to connect with the rich local color of this natural and historic area. Celebrate the 100 year anniversary in 2016 of the National Park Service by visiting the Great Smoky National Park while staying at our vacation cabin. Our spacious log home is furnished with rustic handcrafted log beds and carefully selected antiques to bring country charm and character that reflects the culture of this mountain area. Everything necessary for the camp chef is available in the fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker and a full array of cookware.
Toast marshmallows in the wood burning fireplace in the living room or just cozy up with a good book or that special someone. Barbecue your favorites outdoors on the screened-in back porch and then take an after dinner soak in the hot tub. Relish the scenic views from every window of this two-story log cabin. The open log staircase to the second floor bedrooms overlooks the dining area with a large table that has plenty of seating for eating meals, playing board games or making puzzles.
The cabin's kitchen has a center island with stool seating for quick snacks or extra guests. Vaulted ceiling in the living room with impressive floor to ceiling stone fireplace focal point has comfortable cabin furnishings. An inviting covered front porch has large wooden rocking chairs for relaxation and appreciating mountain views. The front porch wraps around the side of the cabin for additional space for outdoor time. Two full baths one on the first floor and one on the second and washer/dryer are available within this extra large, well equipped log cabin. Less than an hour away in Gatlinburg, visit local breweries, wineries and distilleries – where you might even get to sip some legalized moonshine. On Saturday mornings beginning mid-May through mid-September, the local Gatlinburg Farmer's Market is held at the Covered Bridge. The cabin is situated close to the Great Smoky National Park where the family can take an auto tour, go horseback riding, or hike many of the charted trails. American history buffs will truly appreciate the many historic sites within the park as it is home to the best collection of log buildings in the eastern United States.
Whether you are hiking, bicycling or canoeing in the area you will encounter waterfalls, wildflowers and wild life that you can capture in photos and create memories for a lifetime. With over 100 species of trees in the area and a majority being deciduous, the profuse fall color is a magnet for nature lovers from all over the country. Quaint small towns with shops line main streets.
