Welcome to our small quaint cottage surrounded by a remarkable rural landscape. Very clean and a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the country. Big South Fork cabins give your group the opportunity to participate in a wide range of healthy outdoor recreational activities. Ask us about fishing in Big South Fork; mountain bike riding; even hunting whitetail deer, turkey and wild boar within the park.
The camp cook will love “a kitchen that offers everything": Full size stove, microwave, refrigerator with ice maker, pots, pans, dishes, toaster, mixer, coffee pot and linens. For cooler off-season months, you’ll easily stay warm by turning on the electric fireplace. Gaze at the warm fireplace from the reclining loveseat.
Sleeping arrangement: Bedroom has a queen bed; living room has a sofa bed. Extra air mattress is available too. Full bath.
As you can see by the huge amenities list, this cottage is truly a home away from home. Full of solitude thanks to the woods and pastures. We even have a minnow pond out back. Enjoy scenery around the home from the front porch or the back deck. Fire up the charcoal grill and gather around the outside dining set. End your day with a movie - we have many choices at the cottage.
The list of unique events includes the Annual Fall Pumpkin Festival in Allardt, TN - 6 miles from the cottage. Since you book directly with us (Tony and Anita the owners) we can offer our local knowledge - just tell us what you like to do. Like yard sales? Hwy. 127 is the center of the World's Longest Yard Sale.
With the south entrance to the Big South Fork Park Recreation Area 11 miles away, part of your cabin time in Tennessee should include hiking, biking and birding. See miles of scenic gorges and sandstone bluffs - try Cumberland River whitewater paddling (beginners and highly skilled paddlers)
One of Tennessee's oldest wineries is just 11 miles from Jo’s Place so stock up on your way to the cabin! Horseback riding should be on your list (you are in Tennessee after all) - the Zenith Horse Stables is 4 miles from the home. Not just any ride either. This is some of the most beautiful trail riding in the country is right here in Big South Fork. There are over 200 miles of horse trails.
