Looking for a vacation rental near the famous Gatlinburg strip? Ready to experience some Southern Appalachian mountain culture? Welcome to the Summit Cabin! Imagine ending a busy day at your private vacation cabin that is spacious enough for large groups and multi-generations of families. Cabin time in Gatlinburg is all about reconnecting with friends and family!
Inside, the surprises are as endless: The large game/TV room is perfect for game day (75-inch TV with Klipsch surround sound), or a kids hangout. We make it hard to leave our Summit cabin: Enjoy the Pool Table, hundreds of free movies on Demand, large hot tub. Guests always comment about the fully stocked kitchen and recently updated furniture, comfy bedding and mountain decor. Large L-shaped deck with outdoor seating is a nice alternative to dining in - Picnic table provided on the deck.
Sleeping arrangement: 2 downstairs bedrooms have King beds and shared bath; 2 upstairs bedrooms have King beds and private baths.
Front porch rocking chairs are the best place to soak in the Mount LeConte views while sipping that first cup of coffee! Melt away any outside chill by relaxing next to the cozy and romantic fireplace (available October through April). As part of the resort, guests have access to the nearby pool - parents can watch the kids from the Summit's front porch!
The Summit Cabin is only 1/2 mile from the Arts and Crafts district - unique shopping! Ask us about Douglas Lake boating, area golfing, kayaking, and Ober Gatlinburg (ski and snowboarding) to name a few!
In the mountains or downtown, the list of things to do in Gatlinburg is endless! Hundreds of shops and restaurants are just down the road; the Summit cabin is one mile from the new Rocky Top Sports World Complex. You’ve come this far, so you’ll want to see Dollywood & Pigeon Forge, TN too. Since you book directly with me (Gail Conyer), I can give you lots of tips regarding America’s most visited national park: The Great Smoky Mountains. For example, scenic Cades Cove is the most popular destination in the park. Did you know you can explore the Park on horseback?
A popular day hike during any season is memorable. Winter’s soft and magical snowfall change the mountain vistas along trails - no leaves reveals stone walls, foundations, chimneys, etc. Spring’s weekly showing of wildflowers and budding trees is incredible. Summer walkers can stroll the Gatlinburg strip, splash in mountain streams, explore roaring falls and more. Fall colors and crips, dry mountain air will sharpen your sense

The perfect place for a much needed family getaway. Thank you Gail for everything. We will be back! Karen F.
We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin is beautifully decorated down to the smallest details. So many wonderful touches in the cabin that I would have to write a book to list them all! The views are fabulous! Through the windows and from the deck, unobstructed layers of the Great Smoky Mountains! The drive to the cabin was easy, about 2 blocks off Highway 321. So close that we could walk to the trolley stop! The log cabin resort is precious. The swimming pool with it's lovely waterfall is right across the road. Pensacola, FL
