This is a duplex style vacation rental with a total of 2 kitchens and 2 living rooms. Ideal set up for two couples looking stay together yet still have some privacy. Each side has a walk out deck. The upper level has unique decor that dates back to the early 1900’s with an overall country feel. You also have the option to rent out the entire Peace in the Valley which is perfect for small families. Listen to the gentle rolling creek while you relax in the Adirondack chairs.
Sleeping arrangements: Each side of the duplex has a queen bed and a fully equipped kitchen.
When you stay at our property, you will notice the abundance of wildlife from deer, owls, rabbits, eagles, and other birds. Keep your eyes open!
There is a local marina next to Big Ridge State Park in Maynardville, TN. The marina offers pontoon and fishing boat rentals and the restaurant has the best steak on Norris Lake! Also nearby is a sandy beach along Big Ridge Lake which provides swimming enjoyment and a concrete-bottomed area for children. The park has sand volleyball, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, a basketball court and a softball field.
Being only a few minutes from Norris Lake means tons of recreational opportunities: rent ski boats, fishing boats, jet skis, paddle boats, kayaks and canoes. Fishing on Norris Lake includes bass, walleye and crappie. In Knoxville, TN there is a tree-based adventure park for those thrill seekers. Also in Knoxville is the Ijam Nature Center where visitors of all ages have the ability to hike, bike, stroll, paddle and enjoy the day. This is a sanctuary for travelers to learn about and connect with the natural world. We also recommend checking out the River Boardwalk on the Tennessee River.
The Cumberland Gap National Historic Park is the perfect place for a day trip. The Pinnacle Overlook is the most popular location in the park. The overlook is at an elevation of 2,440 feet so you can see the breathtaking views of the Appalachian Mountains and stand on three state lines at the same time!
