Lakeside Living is a truly secluded wilderness retreat, with water on three sides and a screen of tall trees to the back. This modern, A-frame cabin was newly built in 2008, with a lofted sleeping area, a covered porch and sheltered off-street parking. This three-bedroom rental home features an open floor plan on the main level, connecting a fully equipped, spacious modern kitchen with stainless-steel appliances, a casual dining area with a table and chair for six, and a large, beautifully decorated living room with a full-length sofa and a love seat, an old-fashioned wicker rocking chair, a fireplace and a wall-mounted flat-screen TV.
The shared spaces on the main level are all finished with a polished wood floor, and bathed in natural light from wall-to-ceiling windows on the lake-facing side. From the living room, guests can see out past the front porch seating to the lake and the surrounding bluffs. There are also two private bedrooms on the main level, as well as two full baths and a separate laundry room. The third sleeping area is lofted above the living room, with a great view through high windows, a second TV and a foosball table.
Sleeping arrangements: Two of Lakeside Living’s three private sleeping areas are furnished with a queen-sized bed, with a king-sized be in the third bedroom. The sofa in the living area also pulls out into a queen-sized bed.
This contemplative Tennessee lakeside cabin’s most prominent feature as viewed from the lake is a covered porch that runs the length of the house, lofted a few feet above ground level to make the most of a panoramic view of Douglas Lake. The porch overhangs a sweeping, grassy lawn that slopes gently to the water’s edge and a private swimming area. This vacation rental also includes the use of a private dock for swimming, fishing, sunning and boating.
To the side of the house, guests will find a smaller, open-air deck with a bench, a hot tub and a charcoal grill. There is also a stone fire pit and a picnic table on the lawn beside the house. Behind the house and sheltered from the lake winds is a large, covered and paved parking area with room for multiple vehicles, trailers or boats. The drive leading away from the house is private and scenic, with lush vegetation and mature trees on either side.
Lakeside living cabin retreat is located on the eastern bank of Muddy Creek, a shallow creek with hiding spots for bass and other game fish. Guests to this wooded cabin lot can enjoy swimming, sunbathing and grilling on the property, and are mere steps from boating and fishing on the lake or stream. Visitors may want to take a leisurely drive through the countryside to explore the surrounding area via scenic Highway 139, or the more adventurous might opt to explore the Great Smoky Mountain National Park on foot.
Nearby towns and attractions include those of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, as well as the Historic Dandridge, where visitors will find unique regional dining experiences and even carriage rides. In Pigeon Forge, visitors will find exciting entertainments such as the Elvis Museum, the Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show, a working gem mine and jewelry workshop and the Smoky Mountain Car Museum. Meanwhile, Gatlinburg is well-known for its vast assortment of tourist attractions, including the Space Needle, the Guinness World of Records Museum and an IMAX theater. Plan an outdoor adventure excursion at Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort & Amusement Park or Pigeon River White Water Adventures, or wander over for a free tour and tasting at the Smoky Mountain Winery.
Lakeside Living is also conveniently located near the Dandridge Point Marina and the Dandridge Bridge, where visitors can access a free boat launch.

When it comes to the best lodging in Sevierville and Pigeon Forge, our rates are quite affordable. Easy to book. No extra service fees either. We like to say, “it’s the best vacation for the money”.
We are a family of 5 and just got back to Canada from staying in Lakeside Living. It was absolutely wonderful! The lake was super warm, the house was impeccably clean, and we were close enough, yet far away enough from all the attractions you'd ever want to go see. I highly recommend it and am seriously considering booking it for next summer too! Well worth the drive, it was sad to have to leave! Cheryl Cloutier & Family
Just a quick note to tell you our vacation was wonderful and the cabin on Douglas Lake was beautiful! Thank you for all your assistance! Kim
