A Ramblin’ Rose is a large, two-bedroom log home on a peaceful, lightly wooded, and level plot of land located in the mountains just outside of Sevierville, TN. The long, private drive leading up to this secluded mountain retreat is the perfect place to leave your worldly cares behind and adjust to a new way of being — It’s cabin time! And this eight-person Tennessee rental is the ideal place to sleep in, relax, have a soak in the hot tub and count the stars, all while enjoying the fresh mountain air and the misty, far-off views of the Smokies.
The main living quarters at A Ramblin’ Rose are located on a single main floor, with an open floorplan and high vaulted ceilings that offer a large group of guests plenty of room to spread out and breathe easy. The front door opens into a great room furnished with plush lounge furniture, and a built-in stone hearth with a gas fireplace serves as a room divider to the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils and cookware, as well as modern appliances. The formal dining room has a long wooden family-style table with seating for at least six guests. The dining room also opens out via sliding glass doors to a wraparound deck with a breathtaking view, several rocking chairs and an outdoor hot tub.
A lower-level game room is equipped with a pool table, foosball, giant checkers and a large, wall-mounted flat-screen TV. This luxury TN log cabin is fully finished in honey-colored wood, with polished floors and heavy-timber rafters that create many unique and beautiful interior spaces.
Sleeping arrangements: This Tennessee mountain retreat features two ensuite bedrooms — one of which has a whirlpool bathtub — on the main floor, with a king-sized bed in one and a queen-sized bed in the other. The second-story loft serves as a third, semi-private sleeping area with a daybed and a futon. One of the sofas in the living room can also pull out into a queen-sized bed.
A Ramblin’ Rose has the simultaneous qualities of feeling like both a cozy one-room cabin and having all of the modern amenities and plenty of open space to stretch out. Its unique layout makes it easy to socialize, with conversation flowing easily between the connected rooms, while still having designated space for cooking, eating, relaxing and playing.
The two large suites combined with the lofted, multi-bed sleeping area makes it easy for multiple families to share space, with separate sleeping and socializing spaces available for adults and kids, while still offering enough room for everyone to gather in the great room or around the table. Best of all, this cabin’s wraparound porch offers access from all sides to the home’s lonely mountain view.
A Ramblin’ Rose occupies the “sweet spot” between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, the busy hubs of tourism in the area. The cabin is located just a few minutes by car from the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community, an eight-mile loop in Gatlinburg that is inhabited by more than 120 artists establishments, including shops, galleries and studios. In less than 20 minutes, guests staying at the cabin can find themselves in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg, which is home to well-know touristing must-sees such as the Guinness Museum of World Records, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, the Anakeesta amusement park and other thrill rides, hundreds of unique dining and shopping opportunities and more.
Just outside of that radius lies the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a wildlife refuge replete with nature trails, lookout points, historic sites and buildings, waterfalls, trout streams, picnic spots and fields of wildflowers. The same distance in the opposite direction, guests will find equally thrilling entertainments in and around Pigeon Forge, which is home to Dollywood, the Titanic museum, outdoor activity grounds such as mini golf and go-kart tracks, mountainside vineyards and a variety of dinner theaters and live shows.
