The lodge’s five full baths are spread out across three levels for convenience. Three of the bathrooms offer a separate soaking tub. The outdoor hot tub is located on the lower deck.
Sleeping arrangements: Sleepy Bear Lodge has seven private bedrooms. Five of those are furnished with a king-sized bed each, and the remaining two are equipped with a set of queen-sized bunk beds each, and with an additional queen-sized futon in one room. A sleeper sofa located in the lower level game room also opens into a queen-sized bed. Each of the bedrooms is equipped with its own flat-screen TV.
Bonus rooms at Sleepy Bear Lodge are split between the upper level loft and the large, finished basement. On the loft, the first game room features a pool table, a foosball table and air hockey. The second game room on the lower level offers a Ms. Pac-Man arcade game and a NOS racing system.
Also located on the lower level is the home theater with a large screen and nine cinema-style seats. To top off this fabulous mountain retreat, the home belongs to the Arrowhead Resort, giving guests seasonal, exclusive access to the community’s outdoor swimming pool.
Despite its many onsite amenities and entertainments, Sleepy Bear Lodge’s real claim to greatness lies in its location — just a five minutes’ drive from the Parkway at Pigeon Forge. The main Parkway is home to a number of famous attractions, such as the Titanic Museum, the WonderWorks science exhibit and amusement park, and a number of celebrated dinner theaters — not to mention hundreds of excellent restaurants.
Within 15 minutes of the cabin door, groups staying at the mountain cabin can be pulling up to Dollywood, Parrot Mountain and Gardens, or the scenic Gatlinburg Golf Course. Within a half hour, more adventure awaits at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park with its nature trails and waterfalls or the Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts Community loop with its galleries, studios and shops. We enjoyed the cabin, 7 bedrooms, plenty of room, great location. We had 20 people for Labor Day weekend. There were a few things that could updating or repaired but nothing that would stop us from having a good time. The kitchen faucet was loose and the couch in living room would not hold three cause we all ended up falling to middle. Front of cabin had different title than what company called it, confusing for a bit. Would highly recommend. Reviewed April 2018
Nice for family with children. Beds were nice. Bathrooms arranged well. Plenty of TVs. When we arrived, fridge wasn't cold and had to call repair. Couple of bedrooms did not have cable TV remote. Overall a very nice place. Maybe a little overpriced with extra charges. Not enough parking. No yard at all for children. But cabin layout is very good for bedrooms, bathrooms and living room. Kitchen is fine. Large table with plenty of chairs and bench. Young children would have to be watched on very high balconies off back. Reviewed April 2018
