Little Honey rests on a private, wooded lot on Bluff Mountain, with a breathtaking view of Mount LeConte. The two-story log home is quiet and secluded, with one bedroom and one full bath — the ideal getaway for couples in the Smoky Mountains, whether you’re celebrating a honeymoon, an anniversary, or just a weekend away.
The main level of this cozy cabin houses the traditional living areas, complete with a hearth-warmed sitting room, a full kitchen with appliances and storage, and a dining nook with a round table set for two. An upper-level loft is embellished with eaves-level picture windows and a two-person jetted tub. The entirety of this homey mountain retreat is decorated with a comfortable country charm, with personal touches but no clutter, providing for a calming sense of simplicity and peace of mind. With floor-to-ceiling windows on the mountains-facing side, Little Honey lets the view take center stage.
Sleeping arrangements: The downstairs (closed door) master bedroom suite is furnished with a king-sized bed and a full private bath.
For all its minimalist appeal indoors, Little Honey offers extensive square footage out-of-doors, with three separate deck spaces. The ground floor features a covered veranda with a balcony above, as well as a side balcony with access from the dining room. The deck spaces are furnished with a table and chairs for two, as well as a large, outdoor hot tub. The upstairs Loft area has a jacuzzi tub - the view is exquisite, looking out for many miles over Mount LeConte and the surrounding ranges.
Little Honey offers a unique location convenient to attractions in both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the main parkway of Pigeon Forge by car, and it’s about 20 minutes to the edge of Smoky Mountains National Park and downtown Gatlinburg.
Gatlinburg, also known as the honeymoon capital of the eastern United States, is home to almost any outdoor activity you can think of — hiking and biking trails, cross-country and downhill skiing, scenic golf courses, horse backing, ziplines, an aerial tram, guided spelunking tours, swimming, fishing, boating and tubing, whitewater rafting — you name it. It is also home to a dozen picturesque wedding chapels, reception halls and other event venues, fine dining, theater and excellent shopping.
Pigeon Forge is also a touristing destination in its own right, being home to the famous Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country, as well as outlet malls, arcades, mini golf, go-carts and other family activities, and a number of well-known live theater locations. The Tennessee wilderness is a beloved return vacation destination for fishermen, with specialty shops of all kinds and many options for different fishing experiences, from lakes and ponds to fast-moving trout streams.
Best of all, this mountainous region offers stunning vistas in all directions, whether you are drinking in the sites from a pontoon on a sunny day or from the top of the Gatlinburg Space Needle. And don’t forget to explore the area’s unique museums and collections — you can see one-of-a-kind items of all kinds, from rare species of fish and original artwork to the original Batmobile.
