Woodland Cabin is a two-bedroom mountain lodge sheltered between the trees on a private lot near Gatlinburg, TN. The home features a beautiful wraparound deck with areas of both shade and sun for relaxing out of doors at any time of day.
Guests will love the outdoor hot tub and the provided rocking chairs and picnic table. Inside, the front door opens to a large and airy great room with high ceilings with inset skylights that fill the living spaces with gentle natural light. The sitting area includes a sofa, an armchair and a large padded ottoman, as well as a flat-screen TV.
No walls or hallways separate the sitting area from the dine-in kitchen, making for a very sociable shared space for small groups vacationing together. The dining table has seats for four, and the modern L-shaped kitchen includes storage space stocked with dining ware and utensils, as well as a collection of pots and pans. Guests have access to a full-sized refrigerator, an oven and stove top, and a dishwasher — not to mention smaller conveniences such as the coffee-maker, toaster, microwave and a block of chef’s knives. The rooms are decorated in a rustic, homey style with custom log furniture and hand-made quilts. This home is made even more comfortable with central air, high-speed internet and an easy gas-powered fireplace.
Sleeping arrangements: The master suite at Woodland Cabin is located on the main floor, with a king-sized bed, a 32-inch flat-screen and a private-access bathroom with a combination tub and shower. The second bedroom is located on the upper-level loft with a 24-inch flat-screen and an ensuite bathroom with a standing shower.
Woodland Cabin offers a beautiful lofted second story that looks out over the lower-level great room and also has a direct view out of the highest windows in the vaulted ceiling. Connected to the lofted bedroom, guests will find a bonus room with a convertible multigame table. This property has a steep, private drive that ends in a parking area with space for two vehicles.
Gatlinburg, TN, has it all — shopping, restaurants, interesting museums and one-of-a-kind collections, original arts and crafts, live music and theater — not to mention beautiful natural sights, including underground caves, hidden waterfalls, and mountain-view hiking and biking trails.
If you’ve been to the area before (it’s worth a second and third trip!), you may be interested in what there is to do and see outside of the usual tourist agenda. Luckily, Woodland Cabin is located within an easy day’s drive of some truly unique vacation experiences. Pack up the family (or your group of friends) and take a scenic drive through trees and valleys to view some of the region’s underappreciated treasures.
The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad is about a one and a half hours’ drive from Woodland Cabin. This beautiful railway starts at a historic Bryson City, and ventures off in multiple directions through stunning vistas which vacationers can view from on deck an authentic steam-powered locomotive. The Clingmans Dome Observation Tower is a can’t-miss photo-op, located about 45 minutes from the door of your cabin. Here, visitors can enjoy the view from 6,643 feet — the highest point in Tennessee.
Another day trip worth planning your stay around is whitewater rafting at Smoky Mountain Outdoors. This outdoor adventure traverses the Pigeon River and includes a variety of guided rafting packages — or kayaking trips, if you like a challenge. Wherever you choose to spend your days, Woodland Cabin is the perfect place to relax and recharge for another adventure.

Sharon from Crown Point, Aug. 27, 2018. Loved the cabin! The customer service at Chalet Village was exceptional. Thank you for giving us a great vacation!
Diana from Peachtree City, Aug. 26, 2018. Clean and well kept. Cozy living area and nice outdoor deck.
Edwin from Mt Pleasant, Aug. 18, 2018. We loved the Woodland Cabin. It was clean, spacious, comfortable, and private. Far superior to a hotel room. We enjoyed the hot tub. The roads in Chalet Village and driveway were challenging but wouldn't stop us from returning.
Michelle from Bloomfield Hills, July 29, 2018. Very Nice home, however it would be helpful for this particular home to note that the driveway is very steep.
Lindsey from Winfield, May 28, 2018. Cabin was nice and clean. Loved the hot tub.
Jason from Fulton, April 23, 2018. Everything was very clean. Pretty scenery. People were very nice. Enjoyed the shops and sight-seeing. 3 bears came to the cabin and that was neat to see. Had a little bear get in my car.... Lol. Wonderful time looking forward to coming back in two years.
Philip from Madison Heights, April 12, 2018. It was my first trip to Gatlinburg. The cabin was exactly what I hoped. I love nature and the real logs make it more natural. The keyless locks were convenient. The isolation was great. Relaxing and comfortable.
Dennise from Columbus, March 26, 2018. Enjoyed our stay and would go again. Steep driveway, but was ok with 4 wheel drive. Great customer service.
Robin from Glasgow, March 13, 2018. Everything was great! Hated to leave.
Teresa R from Whiteville, March 01, 2018. Had an awesome stay. Loved every second of the whole week we were there.
Kelli from Whitmore Lake, Feb. 13, 2018. The cabin was clean and as advertised on the website. I know that Chalet Village recommends a list of supplies to bring (food, salt/pepper, hairdryer, etc.) HOWEVER, for those that fly (as we did) having some of the essentials available would make it a better experience. I have stayed all over the world in rentals (house and apartment) and these items are always provided. Please consider doing so in the future.
Tonya from Lincoln, Jan. 25, 2018. We had an awesome stay in our Chalet Village cabin! It was the perfect size for just the 2 of us.
Carolyn from Moneta, Dec. 27, 2017. Kathy did an excellent job checking us in and we have been very pleased working with her in assisting us with locating mountain cabins! Check out was a breeze as well. We plan on coming back in the Spring and will again plan to stay with Chalet Village! Thanks again for all your assistance!
Paige from Manchester, Nov. 19, 2017. Wonderful stay!! Would recommend to anyone.
Alisha from Charlotte, Oct. 25, 2017. My son and I absolutely loved our stay in our cabin. Is a beautiful Journey up the mountain especially to see how things have changed since the fire. It was still a beautiful sight and a wonderful experience so glad we were able to spend in it with a company so highly recommended by my late grandmother.
