Bare Necessities is located near both downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, offering a diverse activities agenda to explore for the adventurous tourist. Guests can drive on scenic mountain roads to the city (or hop on the Aerial Tramway to Gatlinburg) and spend a leisurely day walking the strip, trying the local cuisine, touring famous distilleries and browsing the unique gift shops or outlets.
In the evening, there is fine dining and a variety of live music and shows to choose from, and afterward, visitors can climb the Gatlinburg Space Needle for a neon view of the city skyline at night. Pigeon Forge is home to an American favorite — Dollywood, with its adventure rides, country music performers and down-home family-style meals. After a day in the fast-paces touristing hot spots, visitors to Gatlinburg may be yearning for some peace and quiet and wide-open spaces — and the surrounding countryside delivers.
The region is home to dense forests, mountain hiking trails, trout streams and hidden waterfalls at Great Smoky Mountains National Park, as well as numerous fresh water lakes and a system of underground tunnels and caverns. With Bare Necessities as your vacation home base, you are ideally situated to make the most of the multitude of views and attractions located in the Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge area.

Theresa from Okeana, Sept. 10, 2018. We have been renting chalets from Chalet Village for about 20 years, give or take a few. We have always been completely satisfied with your services. We have always felt your chalets are taken care of and clean and if there is a problem you have been there immediately. Thanks, DAVE & TERRI KRAFT

Al from Canton, Aug. 27, 2018. The house was absolutely fantastic. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The view is like looking at a painting. AND we got to see bears.
Lisa from Branford, Aug. 11, 2018. Our cabin was great. Had everything we were expecting and then some.
Ashley from Clermont, Aug. 05, 2018. The chalet that we stayed at was very nice and was very clean. I was very pleased. I will definitely come back there to stay.
Gabriel from Mifflintown, July 29, 2018. Everything with the stay went well and we were assisted quickly with an oven problem in the house. The location was as described and a beautiful view. The area is being rebuilt due to the fires, so we had some local construction noise, but it was minimal and did not take away from our stay. We will be back! Thank you.
Rachel from New Richmond, July 18, 2018. Absolutely beautiful, thank you! The view was amazing and at night it was perfect sitting in the hot tub watching Dollywood set off their fireworks, it was perfect! The house was in perfect condition. I am so grateful that Gatlinburg is such a strong community after the tragic fires and rebuilt!
David from Lebanon, July 14, 2018. Great service Excellent Chalet Prompt friendly customer experience Very neat and clean, except for all the spider webs around hot tub
Sandra from Vermilion, June 29, 2018. Cleanest ever! Simply the best we have ever stayed at, had everything we needed. Beautiful view, even saw mamma bear and her two cubs outside. Was nervous about the ride up the mountain, of course it was worth it.
Jessica from Huntingdon, June 26, 2018. The cabin was very clean and neat. Not a thing out of place. The beds were super comfortable. The only thing wrong was the alarm system was down which wasn't a big deal in my books. You'll definitely have a loyal customer.
Melissa from Corsicana, June 13, 2018. Perfect cabin with amazing views!
