Our Mountain Therapy chalet’s taupe exterior, white trim, and covered front porch are designed to evoke a peaceful entrance to experience all the tranquility this Smoky Mountain retreat has to offer. Step inside where the main level Great Room’s vaulted wood ceilings, abundant windows, comfortable furnishings, 50” flat screen cable-connected TV with DVD player, and wood burning fireplace all say “relax!” The chalet’s three decks provide ample seating where you can just sit back and enjoy the mountain views and forest sounds. Mountain Therapy is your spot to feel revitalized.
This two-level, 3-bedroom/3-bath Gatlinburg cabin has a lower level wood-paneled game room with a 39” flat screen cable-connected TV, pool table, and gas fireplace. Even the chairs are equipped with cup holders for your favorite drinks during game time. Just outside on the deck is a 6-person hot tub where you can melt your cares away with a long, hot soak. The master bedroom with king bed and en-suite bathroom is on the lower level. The second guest bedroom on the lower level has a king bed and day bed with tub/shower combo shower. Upstairs is the third bedroom with a queen bed, tub/shower combo bath, and direct access out on to the deck. Each bedroom has a flats screen TV and mountain-themed decorations. There is WIFI and high-speed Internet access in this Gatlinburg mountain retreat. Families or friends traveling together will appreciate the level parking outside with room for three cars.
A fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, Jenn-Air range, beautiful granite countertops, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, silverware, glassware, cookware, dishes, cooking utensils, and plenty of counter space let you whip up all your favorite family meals. The dining room table seats six, or sit out on the deck patio dining table. The chalet’s gas grill is located next to the outdoor dining area. A washer/dryer is available for renter use.
Sleeping Arrangements: Bedroom 1 (master lower level with en-suite bath) - king bed; Bedroom 2 (lower level) - king bed and day bed; Bedroom 3 (main level) - queen; sleeps 7.
It’s not unusual to see bears from the decks of this wooded mountain retreat. And with three decks, you’ll have plenty of spots to look for them. Dine outside on the main level deck or take a nice long soak in the 6-person hot tub on the lower level deck. The main level bedroom has direct access out on to the upper deck. The lower level bedroom with king bed and day bed makes a good bunkroom for younger children.
A wood-paneled game room with seating, pool table, 39” cable connected TV/DVD player, and gas fireplace makes a wonderful room to gather and enjoy pool, TV and conversation. Your rental also includes a free pass to the outdoor pools, three clubhouses with exercise equipment and game tables, and tennis courts at the Chalet Village Resort.
Take a short drive to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park for an easy family hike on the 2.6 mile round trip Metcalf Bottoms Trail. Pack a lunch and eat in the picnic area near the banks of the Little Pigeon River. Cross the bridge over the river and you are at the trailhead. The trail passes a quaint cabin built in the 1870s, a historic church, and a schoolhouse. This little trek back in time is certain to create interesting family conversations about mountain living in the wilds.
Gatlinburg’s Laser Tag and More has a little something for everyone - laser tag, 3-D theater, and bumper cars! Who wouldn’t love this place? This is Gatlinburg’s largest laser tag venue. You can even go gem mining here, which is a great activity for younger children. Once you are back in all the comforts of the Mountain Therapy cabin, you’ll all want to luxuriate in that 6-person hot tub.

Very nice place and though we had to make two service calls--one to help us figure out the TV/receiver/cable connection and one to fix a clogged dishwasher--they were promptly handled and the service man couldn't have been more polite and efficient. The office staff is friendly, too. We especially enjoyed the clean gas grill, the pool table and the hot tub. The keyless entry is very convenient with several of us doing different activities during the day and not having to keep up with "who has keys." We reserved the same place for next year.
