Unique Features

1207 Smoky Mountain Highlander one of our many Smoky Mountain chalet rentals. We are Chalet Village and we can help you plan the vacation you deserve - specializing in Gatlinburg cabin & chalet rentals since 1972 in fact.

Since you book directly with us, we can have you living like a local on the trails (or) in downtown Gatlinburg - where the majority of visitors enter on the Smoky Mountain Park’s north side (called the Sugarlands entrance). If you plan on spending the entire day in the Park, bring a sack lunch as there are no restaurants in Great Smoky Mountains Park. We are full of great advise: Want to explore the mountains on horseback? Smokemont Riding Stables is a great choice.

Things To Do

Visit the 1207 Smoky Mountain Highlander cabin all year long. The wood-burning fireplace is a wonderful spot to warm your toes after a cool mountain adventure during winter. All summer long, guests stroll back and forth from the cabin & large deck to the shared pool and tennis courts. A cabin base camp this close to Gatlinburg is quite a catch.

Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville are full of souvenir shops, craft stores, restaurants and kitschy attractions - think rollicking good time! Explore the unusual: Salt & Pepper Shaker Museum, Titanic Museum Attraction, Tuckaleechee Caverns, Forbidden Caverns, Fireflies of the Great Smoky Mountains. Try something for the first time: Go fishing in streams teeming with trout; Waddle with Penguins and touch a stingray at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies.

For an elevated adventure, put your head in the clouds and drive to Cades Cove (a preserved pioneer community) via a quieter Park entrance just south of Townsend. Townsend also offers dining and supplies, plus serves as a home base for several outdoor outfitters. There are several smaller, off the beaten trail entrances that feature ranger stations: Abrams Creek, Big Creek, Cosby, and Greenbrier. Pack your sturdy hiking boots and strike out on 800 miles of trails meandering throughout the park. Bring your rain jacket if you’re hiking to Clingmans Dome - it gets 85 inches of rain per year.

Reviews

The property was exactly as described. The cabin was neat and comfortable. The staff was courteous and professional. The location was perfect. We will rent again from Chalet Village! Greg C. From Clawson
As soon as we got there it was amazing! The view is worth it all. The house itself is so cute & cabin-like. Just think the grill needs to be updated (we didn’t know how to turn on it has timer on the side but they should re-write the steps because it’s off) and the deck needs to be power washed. Other than that literally the perfect escape. We got lost a few times at night so make sure to screen shot the GPS so that way you know which way to turn at night but it’s all in good fun! Used the hot tub and pool table every night. We moved the dining table by the big doors so we can have dinner with a view. Also definitely visit Climb Works to go zip-lining! Cant wait to come back! Sam D. From Homer Glen
Our stay at Smoky Mountain Highlander was wonderful - especially the seclusion. We spent most of our time on the deck overlooking the mountains, and in the hot tub or playing pool. The house is beautiful, well cared for, and had everything we needed. Definitely hope to return in the future. Melissa From Lake Lure
Excellent service and accommodations , beautiful views from our cabin. Jesse From Canton
Very clean cabin. Wonderful view that we were looking for. The cabin has been painted green and was not red as stated when given directions and no directions on how to use the grill. Abram From Junction City
Very clean and well maintained. Easy booking and hassle free. Appreciated the frequent email reminders and notifications regarding the stay, check in, and check out. Christopher From Jacksonville
Our stay was amazing and the view was beautiful. Very clean and cozy! Our coffee pot broke and the staff was very accommodating in replacing it right away for our coffee mountain views . The hot tub was perfect in the evening to relax after a long hike and busy day of shopping! We loved our stay and will be definitely be back! Amanda From Union
This cabin was so comfy and wonderful. We had the best time and did not do a whole lot outside of the cabin. Something about it was magical and we have decided it will be our yearly vacation spot. Thank you for the hospitality and the cleanliness. Amy From Moody
