Our 847 Bears With Us chalet was designed with views of the Smoky Mountains and the aerial tram in Gatlinburg. The wall of windows in the Great Room lets abundant light shine into the open-beamed cathedral ceiling. The chalet has both ceiling fans and central air conditioning, but just open up the living room doors and let the breeze in off the massive upper-level deck. The black leather couches create a cozy place to relax in front the stone-faced, wood-burning fireplace with cable-connected flat screen TV above the mantel. There are also 5 TVs, 4 DVD players, a stereo with a CD player, and high-speed Internet access in this Gatlinburg mountain rental. Patio furniture and a hot tub await you out on the deck, along with those breathtaking views.
The Great Room also has a pool table, making this living space great for multiple recreational activities. A master suite on this level with a king bed, private bath, and two-person in-room whirlpool lets you create your own spa experience. The lower level features two bedrooms and a card/game room with a set of bunk beds. There is a walkout from the lower level out to a concrete patio with outdoor dining table and chairs. The Gatlinburg chalet’s charcoal grill is located on the patio.
The fully equipped kitchen contains a refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, glassware, dishes, silverware, cookware, and cooking utensils. The dining room table seats six people with two more at the breakfast bar. Or dine out on the deck’s patio table and chairs and celebrate the mountain ambiance of your fine-dining experience. Did we mention you might see a bear or two outside? There is a laundry room off the kitchen area with a washer and dryer.
Sleeping Arrangements: Bedroom 1 (master main floor) - king bed; Bedroom 2 (lower) - king bed; Bedroom 3 (lower) - queen bed; 2 bunk beds in card room. Sleeps 8.

When you are ready for a bit of competition, play a game of pool upstairs or set up a board game in the game room. If you just want to sit back and watch your favorite TV show, you have 5 satellite-connected TVs to choose from. Your rental also comes with a pass to the Chalet Village’s three clubhouses with exercise equipment and games, outdoor pools, and tennis courts. Guaranteed there is something for every member of your family to do while you are on this spectacular Tennessee vacation.
It’s just a short drive into Gatlinburg where family fun of all kinds awaits you. Families with older children may want to try a team-building experience at the Headcase Escape Adventure. Or for some thrilling outdoor experiences, take a drive to the Rowdy Bear Mountain Adventure Park for a ride on the gravity-propelled Mountain Roller Coaster or fly down the mountain on their Mountain Glider.
In case you don’t see a bear during your stay at Bears With Us, you can always check them out at the Ober Gatlinburg Wildlife Encounters. This zoo features Tennessee wildlife including black bears, river otters, raccoons, flying squirrels, bobcats, birds, reptiles and fish.

A small section of the road to the house is very steep, but it is the mountains. 2. We saw bears every day. One even approached us. A little scary, but again, it is the mountains. - Rhonda
