A Majestic View is a newly constructed, two-story cabin on cleared land high in the mountains outside Gatlinburg, TN. This modern two-bedroom home features a unique, open living space on the ground floor, with high ceilings and a loft.
The cabin’s main entrance leads into a bright dining room with a family-style rectangular table and six chairs. Adjacent to the dining area is the fully equipped, modern kitchen with a two-level island and bar and four tall stools. Beyond the dining room, the cabin’s great room is arranged in a cozy semi-circle with ta leather love seat, a sofa and an oversized arm chair with an ottoman. These comfortable seats are all positioned to enjoy both the stone heart with a gas fireplace and the large flat-screen television mounted above.
The great room is connected via sliding glass doors to the large, wraparound exterior porch. The porch includes durable, high-quality deck furniture including a second dining table and chairs and several lounge seats. The deck is also home to a gas grill and a four-person hot tub — enjoy a home-grilled meal as the sun sets behind the trees or combine an outdoor soak, a glass of wine and stargazing for the perfect relaxing, romantic evening.
Sleeping arrangements: A Majestic View features two private bedrooms. The master suite is furnished with a king-sized bed and offers access to an ensuite full bath with a combination shower and tub and his-and-hers sinks. The second bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed and is located next to the cabin’s second full bath, with a single sink and a combination sink and tub.
Aside from the stunning mountain view it is named for, Majestic View’s best qualities revolve around its penchant for comfortable living and lounging spaces.
Along with the wonderful great room and the refreshing outdoor sun deck, this cabin also has a bonus room with games, a pool table and a lounge. In one nook of the game room, guests will find another large wall-mounted flat-screen TV and three enormous chaises. These would be ideal for a movie night or for a lazy reading day.
A Majestic View is located high above the city of Gatlinburg, TN, with a clear view of not only the distant peaks and lush valleys, but also of some of the region’s most prominent attractions, including the Gatlinburg downtown strip and the Aerial Tramway. The tramway begins at the nearby Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort & Amusement Park, and ends near the center of the city, offering guests a second option for transportation to shopping, dining and entertainments — hop on the tram and avoid parking dilemmas in busy areas.
Ober Gatlinburg is open year-round, offering beautifully maintained ski slopes during the cooler months and a one-of-a-kind wildlife experience throughout the year. Ober Gatlinburg is also home to one of the area’s famous Mountain Coasters. Other exciting vacation experiences hidden in the dense forests of the Tennessee mountainscape include an extensive network of underground tunnels (including the Forbidden Caverns, where guests can view magnificent rock formations and an underground lights show), several bird’s-eye zipline tours and two remote mountain wineries that guests can tour on horseback.
The region is home to America’s only national park that does not change an entrance fee — the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which covers more than 500,000 acres and includes a section of the storied Appalachian Trail. Here, visitors can enjoy the vast hiking and biking trails, take in the views and the fresh air, and fish, swim and paddle in numerous natural lakes and mountain streams. Sep 04, 2018. We have stayed in many chalets in Gatlinburg since 1997. This has to be one of the nicest chalets we have ever stayed at. The view of Gatlinburg is spectacular. The chalet was immaculate. The two decks were wonderful to be on when the thunderstorms came rolling thru, especially the lower one with the hot tub. Thank You Chalet Village for your hospitality. Jul 17, 2018. Our stay at "A Majestic View" was just right. This unit is clean and comfortable. The updates to the interior and the upper and lower decks are wonderful. The space in the unit was perfect for our family of four. The beds were firm, and the linens provided were very nice. The kitchen is well stocked (except for a functional can opener). There were plenty of towels and blankets for our 3-day stay. We were appreciative that we were able to check in early without a problem. Nice laundry area too!
