Hemlock Ridge is a stately two-story log cabin with a wraparound porch and a clear view over valleys and treetops. This large, two-bedroom vacation home features vaulted ceilings with high windows that trickle down to fill the living spaces with gentle, natural light.
The interior is finished entirely in warm, natural wood, and decorated in a simple, rustic style. However, guests to Hemlock Ridge will hardly be “roughing it.” This home includes a comfortable great room lounge with a full-length sofa and two high-backed armchairs, ideal for cozying around the gas-powered fireplace on chilly nights. Above the fireplace, guests can enjoy a movie or stay caught up on the latest episodes with a wall-mounted TV and sound system. One corner of the great room holds a luxury chef’s kitchen with stainless-steel appliances and an island perfect for use as either a workspace or a breakfast bar – two bar-height stools are available for guest use.
In the open area of the great room, guests can sit down to dine as a group at a custom log table with four chairs. The main level of the cabin opens out to the spacious wraparound deck, where guests will find a hot tub, a grill, a picnic table, a porch swing and two old-fashioned rockers. There are open areas of deck for catching some cheerful sun rays, as well as sheltered areas.
Sleeping Arrangements: Hemlock Ridge offers two private bedrooms and two full baths to accommodate up to four guests. The master suite features a king-sized bed, and a walk-through bathroom with both a standing glass-door shower and a jetted tub. The second bedroom is also furnished with a king-sized bed and enjoys a convenient spot near the other full bath. Both bedrooms include clothes storage so guests can unpack and make themselves at home, as well as individual televisions and entertainment systems.
The highest level of Hemlock Ridge is a beautiful half-story loft that looks out over the great room. This loft enjoys a view out the cabin’s tallest windows, and is inhabited by an open game room, complete with a pool table, a card table and a wall-mounted TV.
Hemlock Ridge is located high in the mountains outside Gatlinburg, and close to a number of unique Tennessee vacation opportunities. One of this cabin’s exciting neighbors is Rocky Top Sports World, an 80-acre, state-of-the-art sports complex that hosts a plethora of sporting events, including annual youth tournaments. The complex features on-site dining options and top-of-the-line viewing accommodations.
For families accompanying a child to a competitive event, staying in one of Chalet Village’s nearby cabins is the best way to make the most of the trip. Another unique attraction near Hemlock Ridge is the eight-mile Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts Community Loop, where local artisans have gathered their studios, galleries and shops. Browse the loop for one-of-a-kind gifts and original works, including everything from custom glass-blowing to large-scale chainsaw sculpture.
This luxury cabin is also conveniently located near an entrance point to the Greenbriar section of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Here, visitors can marvel at the natural scenery of Tennessee, with hiking and biking trails, boating and swimming on several small inland lakes, fishing for trout in clear mountain streams, beautiful photo ops and picnic spots, observations decks, and tours of historic cabin sites. And of course, Hemlock Ridge is located close enough to downtown Gatlinburg for guests to drive in for the day and enjoy numerous shops, restaurants, distilleries, museums and shows.
