Cabin 406 at Carr’s Northside Cottages is a great place to head for a couple’s or small family vacation with easy access to Gatlinburg attractions as well as the Smokies. This bright, well-lit cottage contains a stone gas fireplace, along with a TV and WiFi available for all visitors, allowing visitors to kick back and relax after a day spent shopping, seeing the sights, or exploring the great outdoors. If visitors are not interested in the restaurants of Gatlinburg - or just want to spend a laid-back night in - they will find that the kitchen is equipped for all of their dining needs: There is a fridge and freezer, oven, and microwave.
In addition to these indoor amenities that are specific to the cabin, visitors have access to many other amenities through the resort. There is a swimming pool for those who want to spend a lazy day lounging in the sun, a hot tub for those chillier days, and a wading pool. Outside, visitors also have access to a picnic area and covered bridge.
This cabin has two queen-sized beds, sleeping a total of four. There is also a bathroom with a shower.
One great feature of this cottage is its porch that is right next to a picturesque stream on the property. Wake up in the morning to the peaceful sights and sounds of nature before you’ve even left for your hike in the Smokies, or get back to that feeling of relaxation with a mug of tea or glass of wine after a day spent in the city.
The amenities that the cottage and resort offers are many and varied, allowing visitors to experience either relaxation or recreation, to their hearts’ content. But a trip to spend time in and around Gatlinburg wouldn’t be that without exploring some of what it has to offer. A few highlights: We recommend a visit to Ripley’s aquarium for the child or marine enthusiast alike. With over 10,000 sea creatures to look at and learn about, you are sure to come back home more educated than you were when you left it. Or, head to Anakeesta: A self-described playground for people of all ages located in the mountains, it has rappelling, zip-lining, roller coaster-like rides, and more! The adrenaline junkie in your group won’t be able to get enough of it!
Some great dining options in the area include the Peddler steakhouse, Bennett’s BBQ, and Slice Pizza Bakery. Looking for somewhere to get drinks afterwards? We recommend Iron Boar Saloon, or The Fox & Parrot for a place to relax and talk about your experiences so far.
Finally, Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a must-see during your trip, even if it’s just for a short trail. You can cross it off your bucket list and see some of the beautiful natural scenery of Appalachia.

Absolutely love this place! Will definitely be coming back, even considering doing a yearly trip here! Beautiful location near a creek, within walking distance of Gatlinburg. We walked to everything this way so we didn't have to pay 20 to park for a few hours. Felicia Aytes
Clean, decent sized room. Table and chairs outside the door so you could sit and listen to the roaring stream. Fire pits and grills outside along the water. Easy to walk into town and avoid the traffic which there was a LOT of everyday. We were towing a trailer and they had a separate area for us to park it. We will stay again if we find ourselves in Gatlinburg in the future. JoAnn S
We loved staying 6 nights at Carr's Cottages. Very reasonably priced and great personal service and attentive here. Highly Recommended ~~ Traveled from Texas & stayed here July 17 to July 23, 2021. Cheers
This was our first time at Carr's and it was a Beautiful place. Our accommodations were roomy and clean. We rented the 3 bedroom cottage house on the other end of the property. It was away from the office, pool, and other facilities. It was very peaceful near the stream and hearing the stream at night was so awesome. The house was huge. Tim R
