Cottage 408, located in Carr’s Northside Cottage resort, is a great place to stay for visitors of all ages who are interested in exploring the Great Smoky Mountains or the greater area around the mountains and Gatlinburg. Within the home, visitors have access to a kitchen area. The kitchen has a refrigerator and freezer for storing food, along with a microwave and coffee maker. There is also a gas fireplace surrounded by lovely stone so that, even if you choose to visit during a colder time, you will be cozy and comfortable.
Additional amenities include access to free WiFi for visitors who come to the property, as well as access to TV. For hanging out around the property within the resort, there is a lovely stream right beside the porch; additionally there is a swimming pool, wading pool, hot tub, and other amenities. Visitors who brought children might be happy to learn that this is a playground.
This cabin sleeps a maximum total of about four people. There are two queen beds, which are positioned side by side in the sleeping area. Additionally, there is one bathroom.
Visitors to the cottage will find that it is accessible via a wheelchair ramp, and there is also a handicap accessible parking spot for easy access to the vacation home. In addition to this, there is also a handicap accessible bathroom that is available within the cabin for visitors to use as safely and as comfortably as is possible.
For visitors to the Smoky Mountains or the areas surrounding Gatlinburg, there are so many attractions. Heading to the mountains, you have a variety of trails to choose from for hiking. Try Laurel Falls Trail for an easy walk to a beautiful waterfall, a great place to head for a few hours on a nice afternoon. Or, go to Alum Cave Trail for a hard, 10 mile hike that results in some absolutely stunning views. There are a variety of other opportunities to get outside in the Smokies besides just hiking, as well. Check in with local facilities and try your hand at horseback riding or fishing, or bring a bike and hit some biking trails in the area.
Though it is hard to get tired of all the greenery of an Appalachian summer, heading to Gatlinburg is a great choice to experience some of the delights of the city, as well. We recommend experiencing Gatlinburg’s Arts and Crafts Community, an eight mile loop that you can meander along, stopping at great shops and restaurants along the way, to get a taste of some great food and maybe find a souvenir to bring back home. Other good places for a day trip include Ripley’s Aquarium or the Dollywood Amusement Park.

For our Anniversary Weekend we decided to stay here at Carrs Cottages. We stayed in unit 408 and it was comfortable and had all the creature comforts of home. Stove, Refrigerator, Microwave, Toaster and Coffee Pot! Also a Dinette and Chairs. Cookware and other items were also available for meal prep and serving. Comfortable beds and a walk in shower and a flat screen TV above a gas fireplace. The balcony was large with a running stream; which was relaxing and perfect! I highly recommend a cottage and for the warmer months; a picnic pavilion, grills, pool, basketball court and a playground are also offered. The guest office is new and they also have a large laundry facility on site. PaulyPauly2014
We had a wonderful time at Carrs. The stream-side porch was such a delight. We felt like we were living in the midst of Nature. Very quiet place. Everything was spic and span, and the place is very close to the National Park Entrance. What more could we ask for? We forgot an item in the room and they called right away, so we were able to go back and retrieve it. Thank you. S. K.
This was a great place to stay! Everything was clean and everyone was very nice that we spoke with. We had a gorgeous view of the creek running back behind the building we were in. Plus very close to downtown which made it easy to walk and save money on parking. Dana K
Our cottage also had a gas fireplace, we hoped we’d get a wood one, but again we were good it was nice to look at. There were plenty of windows to get natural light and fresh air. We got to see a bear the last night we were there, he didn’t bother us and we sure wasn’t going to bother him lol. I really don’t have much negative about our stay at Carrs. Lena L
Absolutely love this place! Will definitely be coming back, even considering doing a yearly trip here! Beautiful location near a creek, within walking distance of Gatlinburg. We walked to everything this way so we didn't have to pay 20 to park for a few hours. Felicia Aytes
