There is so much to do simply by hanging out around the property itself! When you arrive, the cabin has a homey front porch entrance and is tastefully decorated when you walk inside to give you a feeling of being in your own kitchen and living room.

Natural light from bright windows illuminates a living room with wood floors, a couch, plushy red chair, and a flat screen TV. There is also a small dining area. A big gas fireplace rimmed with stone completes the cozy and relaxing feeling. Visitors also have access to a private back porch with a table and chair, shrouded somewhat in the privacy of the trees. Finally, there is also a kitchen that you can use to prepare food while you are visiting.

Unique Features

One great feature of this property is its charcoal grill, which allows visitors to cook a nice outdoor meal in addition to the cooking styles offered by the traditional kitchen inside. The charcoal grill is the perfect opportunity to grill burgers or vegetables with the family and stay outside enjoying the picturesque neighborhood late into the evening. Or, make sausage or another breakfast dish as a morning treat!

Things To Do

Those interested in nature or educational activities have chosen the right place to visit in Great Smoky Mountain National Park and Gatlinburg. The Smoky Mountains, of course, offer countless miles of trails for hiking and biking, as well as multiple fishing locations. They have an incredible variety of different types of trails, with hikes ranging from beginner walks to waterfalls or overlooks to 10 plus mile hikes that are perfect for the visitor who likes a challenge.

Visitors to Gatlinburg should check out Ober Gatlinburg. In the winter, it offers opportunities for visitors to go skiing, ice skating, and snow tubing. In the summer, there is rock climbing, tubing in the water, and more. Perhaps most breathtaking is their mountain coaster, a roller coaster that glides through the mountains and allows visitors to control their speed, deciding whether they would prefer to get their heart racing a little or merely sit back and enjoy the views.

Other great attractions include Downtown Gatlinburg itself. There, visitors can go up in the space needle, head to the Guinness World Records Museum, or explore Ripley’s Aquarium. Visitors looking to get something to eat or drink while they are there should check out the Pancake Pantry or Slice Pizza Bakery for unique but comfort food-style favorites.

Reviews

Absolutely love this place! Will definitely be coming back, even considering doing a yearly trip here! Beautiful location near a creek, within walking distance of Gatlinburg. We walked to everything this way so we didn't have to pay 20 to park for a few hours. Felicia Aytes
Clean, decent sized room. Table and chairs outside the door so you could sit and listen to the roaring stream. Fire pits and grills outside along the water. Easy to walk into town and avoid the traffic which there was a LOT of everyday. We were towing a trailer and they had a separate area for us to park it. We will stay again if we find ourselves in Gatlinburg in the future. JoAnn S
We loved staying 6 nights at Carr's Cottages. Very reasonably priced and great personal service and attentive here. Highly Recommended ~~ Traveled from Texas & stayed here July 17 to July 23, 2021. Cheers
This was our first time at Carr's and it was a Beautiful place. Our accommodations were roomy and clean. We rented the 3 bedroom cottage house on the other end of the property. It was away from the office, pool, and other facilities. It was very peaceful near the stream and hearing the stream at night was so awesome. The house was huge. Tim R
We had a wonderful time at Carrs. The stream-side porch was such a delight. We felt like we were living in the midst of Nature. Very quiet place. Everything was spic and span, and the place is very close to the National Park Entrance. What more could we ask for? We forgot an item in the room and they called right away, so we were able to go back and retrieve it. Thank you. S. K.
This was a great place to stay! Everything was clean and everyone was very nice that we spoke with. We had a gorgeous view of the creek running back behind the building we were in. Plus very close to downtown which made it easy to walk and save money on parking. Dana K
Our cottage also had a gas fireplace, we hoped we’d get a wood one, but again we were good it was nice to look at. There were plenty of windows to get natural light and fresh air. We got to see a bear the last night we were there, he didn’t bother us and we sure wasn’t going to bother him lol. I really don’t have much negative about our stay at Carrs. Lena L
