  • On the Little Pigeon River. Downtown!

This cabin has everything the Gatlinburg area has to offer. It is within walking distance from downtown Gatlinburg but is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The River Cottage backs right up to the river, providing guests with an incredible view and the relaxing sound of moving water. From the hot tub on the back deck, guests can relax and enjoy the sounds, sights, and fresh Tennessee air.

The home has plenty of room for dining. The dining room table seats six, the kitchen table seats four, and the breakfast bar also seats four. The deck also has plenty of seating options, and the property comes with a grill. There is also always the option to settle in on the large, grassy front lawn for a picnic. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and whatever else you need to make this cabin feel like home.

This updated cabin sleeps eight in three bedrooms and one pull-out couch. The primary bedroom has a king-sized bed, in-room fireplace, and private jacuzzi tub. Each bedroom has access to its own full bathroom, and there is a half-bath as well. The second bedroom has a king-sized bed, and the third is home to a queen-sized bed.

Unique Features

Beyond the hot tub on the deck, one of the guest’s favorite features of this cabin is the fireplace in the primary bedroom. The cabin also has luxury leather couches and TVs/DVD players to help guests wind down after adventuring downtown. Don’t forget, the river just off the back porch is stocked with trout. Catch a fish and toss it on the grill, or release it and walk into town for a bite to eat. Dogs are permitted at this cabin rental.

Things To Do

This riverside cabin is just a short walk from downtown Gatlinburg. It also has plenty of parking, so you can take the stress out of having to find a street spot in busy downtown. If you’ve already enjoyed your coffee out on the porch, played fetch with your dog on the lawn, and caught a couple of trout in the river, it’s time to venture into town for a day of museums, aquariums, or amusement parks. Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies is always one of visitors’ favorite memories.

Gatlinburg also offers outdoor activities like skiing at Ober Gatlinburg, hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, or the 8-mile Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts Loop. Feeling adventurous? Go horseback riding through the Smokies! Fishing and golfing are also popular actives in the area.

Reviews

Another wonderful visit to the Smokies and our home away from home cabin. I really like the new "non"check in procedure that gives us instant access to the property without "checking in” at the office. Cabin was nice and clean, new carpet in back bedrooms and new flooring in the rest of the house. Grandkids enjoyed the hot tub while we relaxed from shopping and hiking. I'm ready to do it all again!
We chose this house because of the location and couldn’t be happier. Everything is walkable and easy to get to. The inside is beautiful with updated appliances. Bedrooms and beds are comfortable. Hot tub was great!
The deck had a great view of the river. We were out there every morning. Within walking distance to the strip, so no need to find parking. Would stay here again, maybe next year.
