This "View Catcher" rental cabin is just that; no matter where you are in the cottage, on one of the decks or staring out a bedroom window, you will be greeted by breathtaking views of the Tennessee mountainside. You'll enter your weekend getaway through the front porch and walk into a quaint living room that is flooded with natural light and furnished with a fireplace and plush furniture.
From there you'll enter the kitchen, which is just waiting for you to whip up your famous lasagna or pop some popcorn for game night. The kitchen also leads out to the main deck, which overlooks the rolling Tennessee hills. On the other side of the front door is one of the primary bedrooms, or you can take the stairs to check out the light -filled lofted bedroom. Downstairs, you'll find a complete game room along with a full bathroom and comfy sofa, all to ensure the fun never stops.
The cozy but expansive cottage sleeps six and has plenty of room to spread out. On the 1st floor bedroom, guests will enjoy a king size bed and private entrance to the Jack-and-Jill style bathroom. For the nights when you want your own private hot tub experience, enjoy the Jacuzzi tub as you gave at the treetops. In the lofted bedroom, you will also enjoy a king bed with a private bathroom as well as a washer and dryer. For the kids, pull out the sofa bed in the downstairs rec room, where they will have their own bathroom and 24-hour access to that foosball table.
Once you venture downstairs, you will find your rainy day sanctuary: a loaded game room, complete with a pool table, foosball, air-hockey table and an old-school arcade game. Neither the adults or kids are allowed to be bored this weekend! If the game gets a little too heated, walk outside onto the deck and gaze at the mountain view, or even slide into the luxurious hot tub.
The main level also has a deck you can access just off the kitchen making it a great place to sip your morning coffee.
You'll also find flat screen TVs in almost any room as well as access to Wi-Fi throughout the house, enabling you to have as little or much screen-time as your vacation deems necessary.
This majestic lodge is not only minutes from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, you will also be able to take advantage of the pool within the gated community where you will be staying. So even when the days are hot, you can cool off without leaving the immediate area. When you do venture out, the hardest part will be deciding where to go first! Should you venture into Pigeon Forge, Dollywood will probably be the 1st thing you hear about. Dedicated to the legendary country icon, Dolly Parton, her hometown does it’s best to make her proud. Dollywood features not only roller coasters and water parks, but also hosts live musical performances as well as unique features such as the Southern Gospel Music Museum and the Stampede Dinner Theatre.
Nearby Gatlinburg has its own offerings of fun and adventure. Try one of the many zipline courses Anakeesta or experience an adrenaline rush on the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster? A little too risky sounding? Anakeesta also has botanical gardens or book tickets for the tropical paradise of the Parrot Garden Once you have had your fill of the city, unwind by hiking or horsebacking through the forests and mountain sides of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. If you aren’t much of a breakfast person and lunch is your main meal of the day, Delauder’s BBQ will not disappoint, or stop in at the Local Goat Tavern for delicious farm-to-table fare. At the end of the day, take the edge off at Ole Smoky Moonshine before ordering a handcrafted pizza pie at the Best Italian Café and Pizzeria or Pizza Cove (and throw some axes while you are there). Pizza not your style? Try Cajun classics at Paw Paw’s Catfish kitchen or chow down on some Tex-Mex from Smoky Mountain Burrito.
