20 acre Spring Creek Retreat has 2 homes to rent: Creek House and this lovely Ayuwasi House. So larger groups that don't mind splitting up can still vacation together! From quilter groups to corporate sessions, our Spring Creek Retreat offers solitude and space to spread out. The Ayuwasi House has unique Cherokee decor inside, which explains the name we gave this house. Upstairs are two large bedrooms, bathroom with wonderful cathedral ceilings. Main level has another another full bathroom and lots of room in the kitchen, dining room, and Great Room. At 2200 square feet, the Ayuwasi House is ideal for larger groups.
Eat inside, on the porch, or on the deck! Our fully equipped kitchen will please the camp chef - it has modern conveniences including a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, stove, and refrigerator with ice maker. Cook inside, or grill outside on the Weber grill.
Sleeping arrangement: Upstairs are the Woods Room - three beds and can sleep up to four; Maple Room - five beds and can sleep up to seven people. Main floor master bedroom - king bed and sleeps two; a Great Room - day bed that sleeps two.
The Ayuwasi House retreat sits at the foot of a ridge and is surrounded by the beautiful Cherokee National Forest. Step out onto the sun deck or the large, fully screened porch and listen - you’re close enough to hear the rapids on the creek. Relax “outside” on the rocking chairs and enjoy scenic views of meadows, huge trees, wild flowers, birds and perhaps even deer.
Unexpected amenities: A rocking chair or a deacon's bench to relax and read a book. Even the bathrooms have decor themes!
1 hour from Chattanooga and 2.5 hours from Atlanta.
Our separate dining room is a great place to play games. Cabin time right here includes lots of outside adventure for all ages. Walking the groomed trails through the woods; roasting marshmallows in the bonfire pit; swimming in the cool mountain creek. Always keep an eye open for ducks, eagles, otter, mink, and fish.
Nearby are fishing or rafting in Hiwassee River; Horseback riding; Savannah Oaks Winery; Ocoee Whitewater Center; Tennessee State Parks; Historical sights; even Air Gliding lessons -if you dare!
