A-Frame of Mind is a beautiful two-story cabin with an open-air balcony and a separate gazebo, all looking out from the property’s private perch in the trees at a sweeping Tennessee mountain vista.
This home is outfitted in rustic elegance with exposed beams, polished wood floors, unique stone and millwork and huge picture windows that provide a visual connection to the natural surroundings. The main floor features an open floorplan with a large sitting room and vaulted ceilings. Guests can relax on two full-length leather sofas or in traditional rocking chairs in a cozy space warmed by a gas fireplace in a rough stone hearth. In the corner of this large living space, guests can cook and dine in a small eat-in kitchen, fully equipped with dining ware, cook ware and modern appliances. A wide wooden staircase leads guests to the lofted upper story, where a game room is lodged in between the steeply sloping eaves.
This space offers a foosball table and a pool table, as well as a collection of video/arcade games — not to mention a clear view out the great room’s upper windows. Guests also have access to a 52-inch flat-screen TV with cable and a DVD player for rainy days.
Sleeping arrangements: Two luxurious bedrooms at A-Frame of Mind can each be considered a master suite, with a king-sized bed, a private bathroom and a jetted tub in each. Additional guests can be accommodated on pull-out couches in the great room.
A wide, wrapping deck at A-Frame of Mind serves as a second dining space with a table and chairs for six, as well as rocking chairs and a porch swing. Inside the property’s private gazebo, guests will find a sheltered outdoor hot tub — the ideal relaxing setting to take in the mountain view.
A-Frame of Mind does peace and quiet so well that it’s easy to forget the cabin is just minutes away from Downtown Gatlinburg. Guests to this secluded mountain home can enjoy a quiet morning and a cup of coffee on the porch, then head into town for shopping, restaurants and entertainment.
Gatlinburg is home to famous collections such as the Titanic Museum, the Hollywood Star Cars Museum, the Guinness World of Records Museum and Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies. Visitors can go mini-golfing, take in a live show, peruse the local artists galleries or the outlet mall, or climb to the top of the Space Needle.
