Holly Tree Cabin is a modern mountain home with two stories set into the side of a cliff right outside of Gatlinburg, TN. This large, two-bedroom cabin features a double balcony jutting out over the surrounding tree tops and offering a truly awe-inspiring view of the distant, hazy peaks and valleys.
The main floor great room is open and filled with natural light from windows and a set of sliding glass doors leading to the lower balcony. The sitting area features a full-length sofa and a small reading chair settled in front of a wood-burning fireplace in a stone hearth, with a 50-inch flat-screen TV wall-mounted above. To the back of the sitting room, a dining table occupies a cozy breakfast nook and is set with four chairs. Continuing on through the main floor brings guests to the full kitchen, complete with an island/bar and three stools, marble countertops, stainless-steel appliances and a full array of dinnerware and cookware.
The lower-level balcony is furnished with a second table and set of four chairs, as well as a standing gas grill and a four-person hot tub. This deck is sheltered by the second balcony above, affording guests a respite from the sun, as well as a comfortable place to sit outside during a light drizzle. The upper level balcony functions as a sun deck, with a table and chairs for four and an old-fashioned wooden rocker.
Sleeping arrangements: Two beautifully decorated bedrooms at Holly Tree Cabin are located on separate floors with coordinating bathrooms for maximum privacy. The master suite is located on the upper-level loft and is furnished with a king-sized bed. The loft also features a whirlpool tub, a full bath with a shower, exclusive upper balcony access and a 32-inch TV. The main level bedroom is also furnished with a king-sized bed, with access to a second full bathroom with a shower and its own 32-inch flat-screen.
Holly Tree Cabin offers a uniquely gorgeous view from two well-appointed decks. From here, guests can admire the miles of verdant hills, count the stars, and breathe the fresh mountain air — all while enjoying an outdoor barbecue or a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Gatlinburg is a fantastic all-seasons vacation destination. Within just a few minutes of Holly Tree Cabin, guests can find themselves smack-dab in the middle of the Gatlinburg downtown strip, surrounded by hundreds of shops, entertainments and fine-dining options. This includes one-of-a-kind gift shops, unique museums and several famous whiskey distilleries. Pay a visit to Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, view as-seen-on-screen Hollywood Star Cars, or test your mettle at the Guinness World of Records Museum.
Gatlinburg is also home to a thriving Arts & Crafts Community, which displays local craftsman ship and original works in an eight-mile loop around the city full of galleries, studios and boutiques. Further from the city’s center, visitors can spend the day — or several days — at Ober Gatlinburg, home to downhill skiing in the winter, water raft rides in warmer weather, and an amazing wildlife experience — not to mention the Aerial Tramway and the Mountain Coaster. Take a summer hike and cool off in the spray of hidden waterfalls, or venture into the cool, dark tunnels of the Forbidden caverns. In the fall, the changing leaves at Great Smoky Mountain National Park can’t be beat, while in the spring the park boasts fields of vibrant wildflowers. Got lots of pictures with a telephoto lens far away on the balcony. Beautiful view. Very clean everything worked. Kitchen sink faucet loose. worked ok. My wife hated the mountain roads up and down especially when another car or truck was passing. I thought they were ok no problem. I would give you a 10 out of 10, thank you very much for the experience. Good job!
