Inside there’s quite a view outside! Cathedral ceiling and a double-height wall of windows let you admire the mountains. The great room has cushioned couches facing a stone-surround fireplace. This is where you’ll enjoy watching a movie or the game on the flat-screen TV. Eat together at the dining table that seats eight, the nearby breakfast bar seats another four. Cabin kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, cookware, tableware, and plenty of counter space.
Sleeping arrangements: The loft has a spacious sleeping area furnished with a king-size bed, a charming nook with a daybed that converts into a twin with a trundle. Two bedrooms downstairs. One has both a queen-size bed and a pair of bunk beds, we call it a kids dorm or slumber party room. The second has a full-on suite, private bathroom, Jacuzzi/shower combo, Queen-size bed. Both of these rooms opens onto the lower deck. You can convert the great room’s sleeper sofa into a bed for two.
Available year round, so gather around the fireplace on a chilly evening. Bear Pause II can accommodate a small crowd too - up to 12 on three floors! It doesn’t matter if you come as a large family, several smaller families, or a group of friends – this large group Tennessee cabin has lots of games: Pool table, air-hockey table upstairs in the loft. The large gas grill on the deck will feed them all!

Great location. Beautiful view of Ober Mountain.
Loved our stay here - the location is way less tourist-y than some parts of Gatlinburg. The cabin was clean and updated. We went as a group of three families, so one family had to sleep in the loft (not as private, but still nice). Be sure to pack trash bags/dishwasher detergent/laundry detergent (not provided), as well as all kitchen things (salt and pepper, plastic wrap, etc). A quick trip to the grocery store took care of all of that, and we were set for the week. We would definitely come back!
