Things To Do

Gatlinburg is in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. All ages love the variety of indoor and outdoor attractions in the area. Hike over 800 miles of maintained trails in the park, go fly fishing, whitewater rafting, zip lining, horseback riding, or ride the Gatlinburg Space Needle that goes up 342 feet. To complete your romantic getaway, check out the local breweries, wineries, and distilleries. The Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine is the first federally licensed moonshine distillery in Tennessee. Try samples for yourself! When you are exploring downtown Gatlinburg, check out Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies. Observe over 10,000 exotic sea creatures and ride the glass bottom boat in the shark pool.

The arts & crafts country in Gatlinburg is thriving with homemade quilts, hand-dipped candles, ceramics, woven baskets, leather art, and more. It is also home to the Arts and Crafts Loop that is 8 miles long and has over 100 galleries, craft shops and studios. Other shopping includes galleries, malls, specialty shops, and outdoor outfitters. If you are staying during the winter, Gatlinburg is the premier destination for skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing.

The Great Smoky Mountains stretch over 500,000 acres and are filled with wildlife and waterfalls. Pack a picnic and drive the Newfound Gap Road. There are many lookout points along the way. If you are looking for a moderate hike that goes by a waterfall, we recommend Abrams Falls! Mt. Leconte is a more extreme hike - just shy of 6,600 feet with some of the best views in the entire park.

We loved the cabin, spent most of our time there. Very cozy, beautiful view of the mountains.. do wish it was a little more secluded. The only real complaint would be the stairs inside are very steep, and were a bit of a pain to get up and down. Easier to walk around the outside of the cabin to get down stairs. Would recommend to any couple that needs a few days or even a week away!! :)
Beautiful cabin! Nice and clean with an awesome view of the Smokies!! We have used Jackson homes before , love this area and Jackson homes service. They called when we checked in to see if everything was ok and called again when we got home to be sure we enjoyed our vacation! Great company! -James Huston
This place is truly an understatement and hidden gem! It was off the beaten path from the hustle and bustle of downtown Gatlinburg, but literally a short drive to everything! The cabin itself was neat, clean, and decorated nicely without bears on everything. We didn't have to climb stairs to get in and out of the cabin, which was great for loading and unloading. The unit was stocked with everything we could possibly need to cook in and do laundry. The hot tub on the deck was my favorite after a long day of hiking/sightseeing! Most importantly, the views are simply stunning...breathtaking actually. This rental was worth every penny!
We loved, loved, loved this cabin in the mountains. It had a beautiful view of the Smoky Mountains. We tried to eat breakfast every morning on the top outside deck while taking in the view and fresh air. The cabin was clean with very comfortable furniture inside. The kitchen was fully stocked for someone wanting to cook. Although you couldn’t see the creek from our cabin, you could hear the running water from the deck. Even though we could see another cabin when outside, we felt it was very private and quiet. We would definitely stay here again.
