The cabin rental has tons of privacy, yet only a few minutes away from attractions in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The towering trees around the large covered deck created a secluded atmosphere. The living room is super spacious and features a beamed ceiling, a stone-faced fireplace, and wood planked walls. There is plenty of seating with couches and armchairs in the living room. In the dining area, the table seats 6 people. Make meals right at the cabin with the fully-equipped kitchen. Having a full-kitchen is also convenient for storing wine, blending some of your own margaritas, and reheating food.

Sleeping arrangements: The master suite has a king-size bed, TV, and bathroom with a jetted tub. The sofa in the living room opens up to fit two more guests. Between this and the full-size bunk beds upstairs, Zen Bear Retreat can comfortably fit up to 6 guests - in addition to a pet or two.
The game room loft is fun for all ages. The full-size pool table and flat-screen TV makes it the perfect space to spend time with your friends/family. There is even a pub-style table in addition to extra sleeping space. If you are traveling with your kids, there is a full-size bunk bed in the game room loft - some say it feels like a tree house! To complete this cozy cabin is an outdoor hot tub on the deck. Relax in the bubbly water and listen to the rustle of trees in the wind. After a day of exploring the Smokies or skiing, the hot tub feels extra relaxing. Perhaps the best feature of Zen Bear Retreat is the location. Imagine staying right at the foothills of the Smokies - with surrounding museums, breweries, distilleries, live events, and theme parks.
Ober Gatlinburg has a popular aerial tramway where you can observe some of the best views in the Smoky Mountains. During the winter, they offer many skiing, tubing, snowboarding, and ice skating activities. During the warmer months, enjoy lake life on Douglas Lake. Go boating, fishing, swimming, jet skiing, and canoeing...all with breath-taking views of the Smoky Mountains as the backdrop. Enjoy a round of golf at one of the many fairways in the scenic mountain foothills.
In downtown Gatlinburg, try local breweries, wineries, and distilleries. If you are bringing the kids, Dollywood is a popular theme park. Live dinner shows such as Hatfield & McCoy and the Great Smoky Mountain Murder Mystery are entertaining for the whole family. The Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts Loop is multiple miles long and features antique shops, local galleries, and souvenir shops.

With over 800 miles of maintained walking trails, you will never run out of routes to explore. Two popular self-guided nature trails include Laurel Falls and Cades Cove. The Cades Cove Loop Road is best for biking with stunning views of the park. Some thrilling adventures in the park include zip-lining, whitewater rafting, and horseback riding in the mountains.

My husband and I had a wonderful vacation at this cabin. It was very clean, had large rooms and was the perfect location to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It was well equipped in the kitchen and bathrooms. The hot tub worked great, too. We highly recommend this cabin. Thank you!
