Elk Lodge is a 5,125-square-foot, five-bedroom vacation home with a clear, downhill view of Norris Lake. This luxury lakefront log home is newly constructed with brand new appliances and top-of-the-line finishes throughout — not to mention a flat-screen TV with satellite access in every room and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi. Elk Lodge features a cozy, cabin-style great room with an enormous wood-burning fireplace and stone hearth, leather sofas and armchairs, and a 55-inch flat-screen.
The great room connects to a stately modern kitchen with gleaming granite countertops, fully equipped with dinnerware and cookware, as well as all of the necessary appliances — oven, stove top, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker with a hot plate and extra carafe to keep everyone in caffeine without having to wait. The space also features a 24-inch mounted flat-screen.
The kitchen is separated from a dining area with a full-length table, plush chairs and heavy bench by a large buffet island and three stools. A lower-level recreation room features a second 55-inch TV, as well as a pool table, a game table, a dry bar and a collection of card and board games. this large-group retreat is beautifully decorated, with breathtaking views from every room.
Sleeping arrangements: Elk Lodge accommodates 16 overnight guests in royal style, with four ensuite bedrooms furnished with king-sized beds and a fifth ensuite bedroom furnished with two queen-sized beds, a twin-sized bed, and two hideaway beds. Each bedroom is complete with a 42-inch flat-screen.
Elk Lodge is located right next to the Norris Landing Marina, giving guests access to rentable, covered boat slips and storage space. The cabin also boasts a list of unique outdoor attributes onsite, including 2,200 square-feet of wraparound deck space spanning two levels, a six-person hot tub and a fire pit. From any room on the main floor, guests can walk directly out onto balcony deck. The kitchen opens onto a covered deck area with a combination gas/charcoal grill and a picnic table. The lower-level recreation room opens to the hot tub and fire pit area. Every vantage point of these furnished deck areas includes a breathtaking view of the lake or mountains.
Norris Lake offers notoriously excellent fishing and is a popular destination for professional anglers. The clear waters frequently produce largemouth, striped and black bass, bluegill, walleye, sunfish and crappie. Visitors can cast a line from a boat or right from shore — and don’t forget to bring a little something for the friendly ducks. Norris is an all-sports lake that offers boating and water skiing, as well as lazy wading and dozing in the sun. All around the lake, visitors will find flourishing marinas, perfect for stocking up on supplies, stopping for a bite, or getting the lay of the lake from the local community.
A few owner favorites on Norris Lake include the Beach Island Marina — known for its excellent Fourth of July fireworks display over the water — and Norris Landing Marina, where visitors will find great food, reasonable pontoon, fishing boat and jet ski rentals, and any other vacation necessities you left behind, such as beer, bait or sunscreen. Beach Island Marina is home to Bubba Brews sports Pub and Grill, known for evening entertainments such as dancing, corn hole and karaoke. Norris Landing Marina is also home to a favorite lakeside eatery: Jimmy’s Place, which offers family dining with famous burgers, wings and ribeye. Visitors can also check the schedule for live entertainments and music.
