Unique Features

Let your log cabin in the woods vacation begin under towering Hemlocks and other greenery. Enjoy the bug-free screened-in porch where you can take meal preparation outdoors - gas grill and a table for outdoor dining. It’s not cabin time in the Smokies without a six-person hot tub! The most unique thing about our ‘quiet and scenic village’ is the true Southern Appalachian mountain culture you’ll experience.

Welcome to The Peaceful Side of the Smokies where an uncluttered, pleasant, scenic destination awaits for those who want to enjoy the natural beauty of the Smokies without undue artificial distractions.

Things To Do

Your just a mile from Townsend! Better yet, you’re walking distance to the National Park boundary line! Within 7 miles of historic Cades Cove. You’re visiting Townsend because you love being outdoors right? Since you book directly with us here at Little River Bluff Cabins, we can provide local expertise so you experience those outdoor things that matter to you: 3-mile bike trail, a fly-fishing school, gorgeous mountain golfing, hiking trails, horseback riding, lots of river tubing too. A walk through the woods around here might reveal young wood ducks, turkeys, ruffed grouse, rabbits, and if you are lucky, a glimpse of bear cubs playing on the hillside.

For a road trip worth every mile, head East 18 miles to Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. Dollywood, music theaters, outlet malls, craft shops, and seasonal festivals (we recommend Spring Festival and Old Timers Day, and the Fall Heritage Festival). Easy access to Knoxville too! Who says you can’t mix in some big city "tourist" attractions. Eastern Tennessee is not just for summer visits: During winter, the absence of deciduous leaves opens new vistas, reveals stone walls, chimneys, foundations, and picturesque mountain streams and roaring frozen falls.

Reviews

We loved this cabin. It is beautifully maintained and very clean. It wasnt swimming weather when we stayed, but you can walk to the river from the back door. It was beautiful! There is a fire pit and lots of blankets inside to wrap up in and sit next to the fire..that was the best! Highly recommended, we cant wait to stay again!
Entering or leaving GSMNP from Townsend by road, you can glimpse the stairway from Little River to "Evergreen" and, within a day, my wife and I referred to it as the "Stairway to Heaven". When we got to the cabin, my wife's first comment was, "Heaven is for real!" We've been to The Smokies some 30 times over the past 45 years and have stayed in tents, motels, hotels, condo & cabin rentals. None of those earlier trips compared with this one in terms of comfort, convenience, cleanliness and/or customer care. Proprietor Billie Pass and her Little River Bluff Cabins are all one could possibly need or want. We enjoyed our week in Evergreen and, in fact, stayed there a couple of days rather than going into the park just because it's in such a delightful setting and inviting place to stay. (Just above "Evergreen" are three of Billie's other cabins -- Genesis, Refuge and Manna -- strung like pearls against the mountain fore and backdrop! We've already booked Manna for our Fall trip!) I can't think of a thing lacking at "Evergreen" (even multiple coffee makers for Mr. Coffee, Keurig or old-style fans!). The only possible improvement would be to move the cabins across the road and river so they were actually IN the Park! Even our 8 lb. dog wanted to stay another week!
We really enjoyed our stay at Evergreen. The river is serene and peaceful. The location was very convenient at Smokey Mountain entrance. Billie was a pleasure to work with. We would certainly return any time as it felt like home.
Location was excellent to Cade’s Cove. View was so nice and listening to the river exactly what I needed. I would recommend this cabin for anyone that needs some peace and quiet for a few days.
We have stayed in a lot of places in Townsend. This place was absolutely perfect! It is a great place to fish and just relax. The pictures do not do it justice. The inside is really nice and the deck is great to relax on! We will definitely be back. So happy to finally find the perfect place.
