With plenty of sleeping room and a loft, it’s spacious enough to let the kids have their own space to play games or surf the internet. For nights when it's a little to chilly, curl up next to the fireplace and utilize the full kitchen to whip up some comfort food, or on warm summer nights, fire up the grill and enjoy the mountain views from the deck.
Nestled on the northshore of Douglas Lake, the private dock and secluded cove provides the opportunity of swimming or fishing without having to leave the property, making this the perfect escape. The endless stairs may look daunting but never fear! For those moments the stairs seem like too much of an effort, take the Tram system, attached to the house, and it will ease you down to the private cove and dock! Vacationing doesn’t get much easier!
Sleeping Arrangements: Able to sleep 7 comfortably, there is plenty of room to spread out. The loft has twin bed and futon sleeper while the bedroom downstairs hold a queen bed. In addition there is a sofa sleeper in the living area.

This towering Tennessee lodge is bursting with features with some of the most outstanding being the hot tub and tram system that makes the stairs down to the shore unnecessary. This truly is rental for all seasons, with a wood-fireplace to keep you warm in the winter, and air conditioning and outdoor hot tub and large deck for entertaining in the summer.
Things To Do
Whether you be the outdoor explorer or prefer to take in the sights from the deck, this rental home is tucked away but close to whatever you are searching for. The dock and private cove make swimming and fishing easily accessible entertainment. Boaters and fishers can drive a few minutes to Lighthouse Point Marina or head to Pigeon Forge to replenish your fishing gear, about 30 minutes away. If more outdoor adventure is on your list, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park has a plethora of wildlife to see and trails to climb.
If you are seeking civilization, jump on the nearby I-40 and head to Pigeon Forge where there are endless attractions, ranging from waterparks to Dollywood. The restaurants to be found are no slouch either! Homemade donuts and ice cream to classic homestyle meals are just a hint of the culinary gems found in Pigeon Forge.

My husband and I have been staying at Lazy Lake cabin for a few years now. If you're looking for a five star hotel you're not going to find it here. What you are going to find is a home away from home. It's clean, the caretakers are so friendly and pets are welcome. The tram is a plus getting back and forth to the lake and you couldn't deal with a nicer bunch of professionals to rent! We consider this our home at Lake Douglas. My husband and I had the best vacation ever!! We have came to Tenn. for 22yrs. and have never had so much fun. The house is better than the pictures, the tram was a Godsend.We rented a jet ski and a pontoon boat.We sat on the deck looking out over the lake every morning before we began our day of fun. My family and I stayed at this cabin in the summer of 2011 and it was wonderful! The view was perfect and it was very well stocked with anything we might need, including lots of movies to watch. We also had a racoon visit us most nights and we left him marshmallows outside the sliding glass door and we got to watch him come to get his treat. My husband and i spent our honeymoon at this cabin in October of 2010. we had the very best time here. the cabin was very clean. registration was easy. we were close to all the attractions of gatlinburg, but secluded at night when we got back to the cabin. we are planning on spending our 1st anniversary here this year and hopefully everyone after. this cabin was a great vacation getaway for us. We wanted a cozy, romantic, high-quality place to celebrate our 19th anniversary, we found it here. My husband made fun of how much time I spent looking for the right place, but then he spent the whole weekend raving about how wonderful Lazy Lake was; and he is hard is impress. We stayed in December and it was snowing which made the hot tub and fireplace perfect. And I must say the people at Smoky Mtn. Lake could not have been better to us, we had an emergency and needed to reschedule, and they really went the extra mile to help us.
