Nestled on Little Pigeon River is the Skipping Stone, a luxurious lodge. Imagine spending your vacation alongside hundreds of feet of river frontage. Skipping Stone is over 4,200 square feet with ten-foot ceilings, massive bedrooms, and a spacious deck overlooking the river.
The hardwood floors and stacked stone-faced fireplace creates a cozy and relaxing mountain atmosphere. High end furnishings and features are provided throughout this million-dollar-plus lodge built in 2006.
Each bedroom has it’s own HDTV and bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and shower. In the kitchen you will find excellent kitchenware, dinnerware, and stainless steel appliances. Sleeping arrangements: Four bedrooms have a king bed. The top level kids area has four twin beds. Please feel free to bring up to 12 guests!
Be prepared to be spoiled indoors and outdoors when you stay at Skipping Stone. Guests have access to their own 8 x 15 swimming pool and wood burning fireplace. Don’t forget to relax in the hot tub just twenty feet from the river. The game room is fully equipped for vacationers of all ages to enjoy.
Not only will the interior features impress you, so will the river. Enjoy the view from the two floors of decks that lead to a fabulous swimming hole. Inner tubes, fishing rods, and equipment are provided. The rushing river and the gentle breeze will make you never want to leave!
Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the famous Smoky Mountains are all just a short drive away from the lodge. Explore over 600 miles of hiking trails in the Smoky Mountains. “A Walk in the Woods” offers scenic driving tours and bus tours that stop at beautiful vistas and offer walks by park guides.
Another popular attraction found in Gatlinburg is the Amazing Mirror Maze, a state-of-the-art light and sound show. If your group is looking for the best “views” while on vacation, check out the Gatlinburg Sky Lift, Space Needle, Over Aerial Tram, and Zip lines.
Because this area is surrounded by rivers, don’t forget about whitewater rafting! Top attractions in the Gatlinburg area include: Ripley’s Believe it or Not, Ripley’s Mini Golfing, Ripley’s Moving Theater, Ripley’s Candy Factory, Sweet Fanny Adams Theatre, and Ober. Ober Gatlinburg is a year-round amusement park and ski area. There are 10 ski and snowboard trails designed for beginners to experts.
