Inside and out, Dew South looks exactly how you’d want a cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains to look. The rockers on the wraparound covered porch are perfect for just taking in the views to looking over the treetops and start feeling relaxed immediately. Take advantage of the view and fresh mountain air by dining on the porch as well, at the round wood table.
Rejuvenate in the hot tub on the porch while taking in the songs of the birds and the warmth of the sun or the moonlight. Inside, the wood-planked floor, walls, and vaulted ceiling give extra luster from the sunshine coming in through the large windows and, in the winder, from the warm glow of the gas fireplace. The living area’s seating is plush and well-cushioned.
Another perfect gathering spot is the farmhouse dining table, which seats six. It’s located right next to the kitchen — so you can keep an eye on the dining room or chat with the cook. Kitchen comes fully equipped with appliances, gadgets, pots, pans, and tableware. There’s also a dishwasher, for easy and quick clean up.

Dew South is a great place to stay when visiting Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed. It was nice to sit on the deck and enjoy the view after a long day of sightseeing and fishing. Plenty of blankets and pillows! The coffee maker needs replacing but worked well enough to get a first cup in the morning. The home is close to downtown and very convenient. It was nice to be able to bring our dog who really enjoyed sitting on the deck! Be sure to visit Carver's orchard for apple pie and lunch. Lots of good restaurants and all nearby so no need to cook, but if you do want to cook, you have everything you need at home. I would definitely stay here again.
We visited with our two kids (8 years old and 9 years old) and had a great time! The view was beautiful and we spent a lot of time with coffee on the deck each morning. Location felt secluded, but we had neighbors nearby (couldn’t see them from the property). Location to Gatlinburg and the national park was fantastic. We saw three bears while at the cabin! Obviously they were looking for garbage, so follow the instructions for garbage disposal! If you’re looking for wildlife, Cades Cove about 2-3 hours before sunset was amazing. We also recommend finding the Donut Friar in and Crockett’s Breakfast Camp in Gatlinburg!
