The winding road up to this house was easily navigated. Upon arrival we were in awe of the amazing views from both levels. The newly built house included our every need and was extremely comfortable. Bring your groceries on the trip up. Fresh Whole Foods are hard to find nearby but there are a multitude of eating out options on the parkway. You should be aware that a lot of construction in this area is ongoing as it was devastated by the 2016 fire. We were fortunate to arrive when a fresh dusting of snow had fallen. As the snow and ice melted in the following days the fire’s impact to the landscape was eye opening. We did not use the grill or hot tub but they were new and clean. The decks did not offer much privacy but did have adequate seating. We enjoyed the fireplace and ease of use. Washer and dryer were a plus. Overall we had a fabulous vacation here and would definitely recommend it to others.
Hello Smokys was brand new and beautiful, well appointed with all necessities and extra, and had a gorgeous view. Our family of 5 enjoyed the hot tub, we cooked in the open kitchen, and used the grill. We had lots of family time by the fireplace, the kids had fun playing the games on the lower level and we loved sitting outside on the deck furniture. The cabin location was ideal: less than 15 minutes to both Ober Gatlinburg and downtown Gatlinburg, but also high up the mountain so that we had spectacular, unobstructed views. We'd like to share with future renters that the fireplace is gas. We did not see this detail on the website anywhere so we called Jackson Mountain Homes prior to our stay to find out if it was gas or wood and we were told wood, so we brought starter logs and wood for burning. However, it is actually gas (which we prefer - less mess and fuss!) We loved this cabin and would definitely stay here again!
The cabin was fantastic! So beautiful inside and out and had everything we needed to enjoy a great vacation getaway! Can’t wait to visit again!
