It is perfect for several couples traveling together or even a couple of families. The property’s stunning deck, which boasts a relaxing hot tub, overlooks a tranquil pond as well as the Smoky Mountains. Absolutely incredible!
Enjoy the views from the great room’s wall of picture windows while you cozy up in front of the charming fireplace. The great room also offers a TV with cable and a DVD player. Of course, it has free WiFi so you can surf the web while enjoying the fire. And, whether you enjoy cooking every meal or only need a microwave and refrigerator, this vacation home has you covered. It is fully stocked with all the cookware and utensils you should need. Shooting Star has plenty of room for everyone to dine also- It offers a dining table, occasional table, breakfast bar, and a dining table on the deck.
This extraordinary rental has a king bed and TV in each of its four bedrooms, so everyone will have their own private slice of paradise while vacationing in the Smokies! Two en-suite primary bedrooms are particularly amazing- Each has its own large bathroom with a jacuzzi and shower. If you need even more sleeping space, the couch in the great room opens into a queen size bed.
Shooting Star offers a fun game room with a pool table, darts, and board games. A ping pong table can also be found in the two-car garage. Additionally, one of the rental’s primary suites offers a fireplace and a private sauna! This is luxury at its finest.
Also, because this vacation home is in the Cobbly Nob Neighborhood, you will have access to two swimming pools in the summer months. The kids will enjoy splashing around while you enjoy a book poolside. Don’t forget the sunscreen!
Shooting Star is only minutes away from Bent Creek Golf Course. A breathtaking, sparkling stream flowing through the course makes for magnificent scenery. Not to mention, you’ll enjoy views from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park while teeing off. This challenging, yet spectacular, course awaits!
For even more amazing sights, take a day to explore the park. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is one of the most gorgeous wonders of the world and is the most visited park in the United States. Hike to Rainbow Falls or explore a historic mill. What a treasure!
If the hike leaves you ravenous, visit LandShark Bar and Grill. There is something for everyone: burgers, salads, sandwiches, fish, and steak. If you’re in the mood for another type of food, don’t worry! Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge have you covered. You’ll find Southern cookin,’ Italian, Mexican food, and much more. We enjoyed our stay at Shooting Star. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and this house was big enough to accommodate all of us without being cramped. All of the bedrooms were roomy, with 2 master bedrooms (1 upstairs & 1 down) it was perfect for our 2 families. The rental was pretty much spotless & provided enough soap, toilet paper and trash bags to get us through a few days and had plenty of towels for everyone, which is a nice change from some of the other rentals we have had. The reason for my 4 stars is the pillows are pretty flat (an easy fix) and there are several outdoor areas to hang out, but no covered patio or deck areas - of course it rained the entire week we were there. But that can be easily fixed by the rental company, just put a market style umbrella on the outdoor table. This is a great house that feels very secluded while you are there, but is close enough to all of the fun in Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge.
