Welcome to The Corn Crib Cabin! I'm a cozy one-room retreat built from reclaimed timbers that once stored corn. Inside you'll find a queen bed at one end and hand-hewn bunk beds at the other, separated by a comfortable sitting area. The open-plan space includes a fully equipped kitchen and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower. Vintage décor and rustic touches make it feel like a hunting lodge, but central heat and air keep you comfortable year-round.
Step outside onto the wrap-around porch and you'll understand why guests fall in love with this cabin. The porch overlooks our lower pond, with the historic cotton gin rising in the distance. It's the perfect place to sip coffee as the morning fog lifts, watch for birds and deer, or relax after a day exploring West Tennessee.
As our guest, you'll enjoy homemade cinnamon rolls and coffee delivered to your door each morning, plus complimentary firewood for the outdoor fire pit. I also love sharing the history of Green Frog Farm; ask about a tour of our restored log structures, from a 19th‑century schoolhouse to the cotton gin.
The Corn Crib Cabin's studio layout gives it a spacious yet intimate feel. Hand-hewn bunk beds built into the wall add charm and make it ideal for families or close friends. Reclaimed wood beams, vintage décor and antiques pay homage to the cabin’s agricultural origins, while modern comforts like WiFi and central heat/AC ensure a restful stay.
My favorite part of the cabin is the wrap-around porch with panoramic views of the pond and fields. Whether you're watching the sunrise over the cotton gin, listening to frogs at night, or stargazing with a blanket, this porch connects you to nature. The cabin also includes a full kitchen, walk-in shower, and fire pit, plus free tours of our historic buildings and a fresh batch of cinnamon rolls each morning.
Start your day by fishing in our catch-and-release pond or wandering the grounds to explore the cotton gin, church, schoolhouse, and other preserved structures. I love to share the stories behind these buildings, so don't hesitate to ask about a guided tour.
Within a few miles you'll find the Tennessee Safari Park, where you can drive through to see exotic animals, and the Century Farm Winery, which offers tastings and picnic spots. Nearby towns like Alamo and Bells offer local shops and Southern eateries, and Jackson is just a short drive away for museums, dining and entertainment.
Many guests take day trips to Memphis to experience Beale Street and the National Civil Rights Museum or to enjoy the music scene. Closer to home, there are state parks, hiking trails and berry farms to explore. In the evenings, return to your cabin for a campfire, stargazing and a cozy night's sleep.

I'm Dr. John Freeman, a retired physician and preservation enthusiast, and I've spent decades rescuing and restoring historic buildings. With the help of my daughter, Krista, we opened Green Frog Farm so guests can share in the charm and history of rural Tennessee. We bake cinnamon rolls for you each morning, provide firewood and tours, and strive to create a personal, memorable experience for every visitor.
