Our 1930’s bungalow style Creek House in the spectacular Roan Mountains has been totally renovated with a new fully-equipped kitchen and bath that includes a stone enclosure around the tub. A new floor-to-ceiling stone wood fireplace is a beautiful functional focal point of the living room. Stone and hardwood floors compliment the rustic mountain-style furnishings.
Our Creek House invites you to relax on its 2 porches with swings and rockers or its enclosed sleeping/reading porch. But you are sure to be lured to fish or explore in Cove Creek, spring-fed and only steps away along 350 foot frontage of National Forest land.
The eat-in kitchen includes a dishwasher, washer/dryer, coffee maker, microwave, stone, refrigerator, tableware, dishes and pots and pans. You will also find a computer. An outdoor gas grill and horseshoe pit provide evening entertainment.
Sleeping Arrangements: Queen bed in bedroom 1; twin beds in bedroom Sleep. Sleeps up to 4.
Take on your family and friends at the Horseshoe pit. Enjoy 350 feet of frontage on National Forest lands including spring fed Cove Creek. Computer included for our Creek House guests.

The Roan Mountain is a 6,285-foot ridge located along the North Carolina and Tennessee State Line and is part of the Cherokee National Forest of Tennessee. Hike its treeless areas with panoramic views, wildflowers and rare plants such as the Catawba Rhododendron, and a spruce-fir forest that is usually found in Canada.
Visit the Doe River 134-foot Covered Bridge in downtown Elizabethon built in 1882.
Visit the Biltmore House 90 minutes away in Asheville, North Carolina. Tour the luxurious summer home, gardens and vineyards of the Vanderbuilts.
A little less than an hour away is historic Jonesborogh, the oldest town in Tennessee with its Wetlands Water Park, walking tours, weekend flea market, and Brights Zoo of rare and endangered animals.
It’s about a 2.5 hour drive to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. Try the scenic drive through the park with its beautiful views and wildlife viewing opportunities.

$30.00 to $75.00 one time set up and linen fee
50% deposit required within two weeks. Full payment is due two weeks prior to check in. A $200 security deposit (on a credit card authorization) is required one week prior to check-in and refundable within 30 days of departure, less any damage or monies due.
Cancellations are subject to a 35.00 fee. Cancellations 14 days or less prior to check-in date will be charged for all reserved days if the cabin is not re-rented.
Check-In 3:00pm to 7:00pm. Check-Out by 11.
Pets: Dogs are allowed with a 2 pet/per/cabin maximum. You must receive written permission from Roan Mountain Rentals before arriving with pets. No pets under 1 year old; no pets allowed on beds or on furnishing; you cannot leave pets in the cabin unattended unless they are in a portable kennel (available for rent); and you must walk pets on a leash while on the property. Fees: $50/2 nights; $75/3-5 nights; $100/week.
I fished the small runs from just above the bridge to just above the Creek House. Amazingly, this morning I caught 4 eight inch rainbows.
